Archives of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine was established in March 2006, on the basis of the former archives and directly under the leadership of the presidents office. Currently there are 5 professional cadres, among them 1 postgraduate, 3 undergraduates and 1 junior undergraduate. Besides, there are 43 part-time staff. The archives occupies 556 square well equipped with computers, scanner, duplicator, dehumidification machine and air conditioner.
The university has always attached more importance to archives management. There is leader in each college (division) takes charge. The archives is the base of keeping permanently school files and the center for compiling research developing utility. The primary duty of archives is to maintain the authenticity of valuable files form the each department to keep files integrity and safety to develop the files information for serving the school.
The school archives has a large collection with various categories . By the end of 2005, there are about 20,000 volume in the archives, mainly 3 different periods, the first period from 1954 to early 1970, former nanjing Chinese medicine school, including documents and records detailed in the teaching administration managements; secondly, from 1970 to 1977, xinyi Chinese medicine ?college, records on the history of the school; thirdly, from 1978 up to now, records mainly on the history.?
