The college of foreign language of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine was formerly the foreign language of the university and also a member of the association of Jiangsu provincial higher school foreign language teaching and research.
For years, all the faculty strive hard to explore the path of teaching reform and improve teaching quality. Besides, the college undertakes the public English teaching and the second language teaching works. a great contribution has been made on the cultivating talents for promoting tcm to the outside world. In 2001, the college starts to open the faculty of medical English, and built English major on the base of medical English, applying the teaching mode of foreign & tcm and cultivate compound talents.

There are English teaching room, no.1 college English room, no.2 college English room, no3 college English room, Japanese French German Spaish teaching rooms and phonetics rooms and data room. The college offers 5 language courses, English, Japanese French German Spaish.
The college has a faculty of 56 people, 10 with senior academic titles, and 3 overseas teachers. besides the college recruits some Part-time Teachers from nanijng university, and Nanjing normal university.

The phonetics rooms and data room are well equipped with a large collection of foreign periodicals and video teaching data. Newly built foreign language self-teaching center and foreign language reading room and multimedia linguistics laboratory meet the need of teaching. The college has undertaken translation works of tcm international conference, tcm clinical translation and tcm literature translation. A great achievement has been gained in the tcm translation and practical linguistics research.
